different grades of silicon carbide and other polishing powders tumbling,
lapping and for sand blasting such as cerium based regipol, pumice, aluminium
oxide and rouge - we have put together a new page of materials - we are not
looking to do any of the equipment and cannot give any technical advice but hope
to be able to provide the materials at a fair price.

| 15/09/10 We have made a number of changes
on the website to match in with the new catalogue.
| By popular demand I have finally
relented and put the prices of the raw materials, colouring oxides,
plasters etc and the stoneware and earthenware glazes in the catalogue
and on the website as pack price i.e. the 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 25kg prices
as the actual pack price not the "per kg" price. This should
help when working out how much you are spending and also to compare how
cheap we are.

| We have introduced the Scarva
Terracolor range of 500 ml / 700 g Stoneware Brush On Pots; and some new
Stoneware Glaze Powders and Brush On Pots in the S600 range - some very
interesting and bright / rich colours. |
| We have deleted some of the Earthenware
colours and introduced a few new Terracolor Earthenware Coloured Crackle
Brush On's. |

| 16/04/10 The Gillespie Borate has arrived
and will be on the shelves in a couple of days. It is a blended high purity,
high colloid material virtually identical to Gerstley Borate but more
consistent due to the blending and quality controlled processing. It
produces lower levels of crawling and pin hole effects. It also has fewer
impurities and produces brighter glazes and colours than the old Gerstley
Borate material. It provides the same minerals to the glaze and is a one for
one replacement in recipes - imparting the same glaze activity, texture and
effects. SiO2 11.8%, CaO 23%, K2O 0.01%, Al2O3 1.7%, MgO 3.9%, Na2O 3.77%,
B2O3 3.9%, SrO 0.45%. Please see the raw
materials page for the cost effective prices. |
| 02/03/10 We are expecting to have Gillespie
Borate in stock in a few weeks time - it is on its way from the US. It is
mined very close to the now closed gerstley borate quarry but the two
factors that make this better is that it is blended to be more consistent
and it is still mined! Customers have tested this and we think it is not
just a substitute or replacement for gerstley borate we think it is a better
product. As usual we will be selling it at a cost-effective
price |

associations events as they are a wonderful source of information and help
for experienced and new potters - if there is one near you we strongly
recommend you join . We offer a 5% discount to any member of a potters
