G14 is similar to G1 but with a higher expansion and so is more suitable for white clays / slipcast clays where G1 has too low an expansion. G1 works well with red earthernware and decorated slip items. G4 and G4DG contain lead.

We recommend a good starting point for mixing Stoneware powders in to a Brush On is 100g Glaze Powder, 75g UG Medium, 25g Water

We recommend a good starting point for mixing Underglaze powders in to a Brush On is 100g PU Powder, 80g UG Medium, 20g Water

This should have a good storage life and make brushing easier. For dipping glazes you should not need medium unless storing for a long time.
